Christian faith guides our decisions, our actions, our principles, our everyday lives. Our Statement of Faith represents the Christian beliefs that are the foundation for Brevard Rescue Mission.

Our Statement of Faith, Our Foundation

We believe in God, the creator of the universe. We believe that God became flesh in the human life of Jesus the Christ, who was with God before the beginning of time.

We believe that Jesus lived a perfect human life, free from sin. We believe that Jesus died on a cross in order that He might serve as the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the world. We believe there is an opportunity for removal of sins and the promise of reconciliation with God and eternal life through sincere repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as one's Savior.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, whose power is made possible through its union with the Father and Son. We believe that Jesus continues his work on earth through the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is the word of God, which brings the very thoughts of God to the hearer's or reader's consciousness. We believe that the Holy Spirit speaks to individuals and communities through the inspired words in the Bible.

We believe that the church's role in God's kingdom is to invite persons into a saving relationship with Jesus, and that its purpose is to be a light to the world, offering healing and justice to all humankind.
