In Their Words
"Thank you for welcoming my daughter and I. I will now be able to continue my education and provide for my daughter, become self-sufficient, and I won't have to worry about where our next meal will come from or have to ration diapers."

– A Successful Resident
{ donation usage }
Approach. Vision. Services. While Brevard Rescue Mission is already unlike anything else in the area, our organization is even further differentiated by the manner in which we use our funds.

Providing hands-on help instead of handouts, we put our donations and resources toward highly tangible and long-valuable purposes, such as:

  • Programs and courses that help enable life-defining opportunities for women, mothers and children. This includes everything from GED and etiquette tutoring to basic money management and educational training

  • Life counseling that ranges from mental and emotional to career planning and child/parental development

  • Health & medical screenings

  • Practical costs associated with short-term transitional living, including food, shelter, transportation, childcare, etc.

  • Paying our small yet highly essential staff who work above and beyond the demands of the average full-time job

  • Costs associated with Casa Carol, including utilities, building maintenance and outdoor upkeep, among many others

  • Miscellaneous expenses, including everything from diapers to dental visits—and much, much more
